I came for the theme, but I stayed for the coffee.
So I've only recently been exploring coffee outside of my usual grocery store brands. My room mate was at a convention in Indianapolis and saw geek grind's stand. Loved the packaging and decided that I should give it a shot. I've had this both on drip and French press and the flavor profile is exactly what I want. Chocolately warm notes. Some of their other roasts I've tried as well and so far out of the 3 different roasts I've tried (you can't go wrong) this is definitely my favorite bag of beans. I'm very happy my room mate got me this bag and I've been buying this and a different one of their roasts (to try) every time since late summer of 2019. While I'm still open to exploring other roasteries this has definitely been my favorite one so far.
If I was to recommend a coffee from Geek Grind I would be stuck between Dragon's roast and Wizard's mist. So far all of the flavors I have tried are delicious.
I'm always down for trying new coffee and this had some decent reviews, so I thought I'd give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised at great this coffee is. I can't afford to buy a new bag every month, but I would if I could, its that good.
I also got my first batch at Gen Con '19. It was so good I had trouble sharing with anyone (including myself sometimes) aside from the purest of coffeeholics. Yet the bag is now empty a sad time, Payday cant get here soon enough.
