The coffee behind the story

What is the Copper Crow?

The Copper Crow is Geek Grind’s darker literary coffee collection—and a tavern with a story of its own.

Every Geek Grind roast starts with excellent coffee. For The Copper Crow, we seek smaller farms and less common lots with distinctive notes in the beans. Select releases also feature flavors created exclusively for this collection. Each small-batch coffee draws on Victorian Gothic fiction, strange tales, and haunted places, with original artwork and packaging that feels like an artifact from another age.

A tavern, a newspaper, a world to explore

The story begins in the River Marches, a fantasy region of river towns, wooded roads and frontier settlements. Farmers, ferrymen, traders and travellers keep the country moving, while old ruins and stranger things wait beyond the familiar paths.

Just west of Kingsbridge, at the Highbridge road junction, the Copper Crow is both a tavern and a printing house. What began as the innkeeper’s notices grew into a regional newspaper, carrying local happenings, practical news and stories from across the Marches. Start with the map to find your bearings, or open the paper to meet the people who live there.

Nevermore Raven Dark Roast coffee resting on black raven feathers

The story behind your cup

Nevermore - Dark Roast

From our limited-edition "The Copper Crow" series we enter a shadowed chamber at midnight, where a solitary raven arrives with a single haunting answer: “Nevermore.” Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven remains one of the most enduring works of American Gothic literature—a tale of memory, loss, obsession, and the darkness that lingers long after the candle burns low.

Inspired by Poe’s brooding masterpiece, Nevermore – Raven Dark Roast is a bold, deeply roasted coffee with a full body, bittersweet character, and a dark, lingering finish. Rich and intense without losing its smoothness, it is a cup made for late nights, old books, and darker thoughts.

The Copper Crow Series features an even further step-up in special coffee and flavors.

The story behind your cup

The Wehr-Wolf - Chocolate Hazelnut

From our limited-edition "The Copper Crow" series comes a tasty tale from the dark forests of sixteenth-century Europe, Wagner’s The Wehr-Wolf tells the tale of Fernand Wagner—a man who bargains for youth and strength, only to inherit a terrible curse beneath the moon.

Inspired by the story’s shadowed forests and old-world atmosphere, Black Forest Chocolate Hazelnut coffee blends freshly roasted coffee with deep dark chocolate and roasted hazelnut flavor for a rich, smooth cup with a distinctly decadent finish.

Bold, aromatic, and just a little dangerous, this is a coffee made for moonlit nights, old books, and darker stories.
